This Halloween, the kids received so much candy that Noah's bag burst twice from the weight and he had to carry it like a sack of potatoes. We had to help Cole with his bag because it was too heavy for him to lug around. The boys were thrilled by all of the full-size candy bars and handfuls or mini treats, but now what? After a rather large pile of "yucky" candies were tossed out and many handfuls were eaten by the four members of our household. This is what is left on Wednesday!
(Note: the candy from trick-or-treating at Disneyland is already long gone.)
How do you handle the Halloween candy situation at your house? Is it better to ration it out slowly to the kids over the next couple of months or just let them go crazy, eat it until they are sick & throw the rest away?So far, we have been rationing it out to the boys in small amounts but I feel like I am the one nibbling on most of it. It's tiny, so I grab a piece here and there throughout the day and don't think much of it. By the end of the night, I am ashamed when I look back on how many pieces I ate. At this rate, I might as well just start applying it directly to my hips.
I just want it to go away!
